Carol H. Solomon,

Carol
H. Solomon is a professional Geriatric Care Manager with 20
years experience working with the elderly. Ms. Solomon started
her company,
CHS Geriatric Care, Inc. in 1992. Ms. Solomon felt her mission
was to advocate for those who needed help and to work with
families dealing
with the emotional decisions affecting their loved ones. Ms.
Solomon works with elder law attorneys, physicians and families
to provide her clients with a quality of life while maintaining
their dignity. Her services include assessments, placements,
family consultations, recommendations, education, counseling
and is a very strong advocate for her clients. What gives her
insight is that she has walked in the
shoes of the families of so many of her clients.
Ms. Solomon received her BA from
Long Island University. She is a Certified Social Worker, a
Certified Care Manager and a Certified Demential Practitioner.
She is the past president of The New Jersey Chapter of The
National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
and has been a member
since 1994. She is the president and founder of Network Connections
of South Jersey, the past New Jersey representative for the
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
Association, a member of the American Society of Aging of New
Jersey, a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
and a member of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Ms. Solomon was instrumental in starting
The Senior Education and Research Board and The Caregivers
Advisory Board, which provides resources, option and awareness
for families of seniors and or disabled adults through education.
Ms. Solomon is a lecturer and has appeared on television on
matters concerning the elderly. Ms. Solomon conducts in-service
seminars at various
facilities teaching the staff how to work with the dementia
clients. Ms. Solomon facilitates support groups and seminars
for families. She has group programs in various facilities
for residents on current events. Ms. Solomon has been a consultant
on
the establishment of an advanced Alzheimer ’s facility.
